    Video of Man O'War

I'd only seen pictures and grainy stuff ... this is pretty nice and it is moving pictures.

Thank you for posting that! What a noble animal - and with that somewhat "Roman"
profile, he simply exudes power and intelligence and dignity and grace. The legendary
Man O' War is our rock solid foundation in the realm of horse racing, and because of that,
he will always be with us.......

You and I noticed the same thing ... that Roman profile. Quite a chest on him too ! ... just everything says "power".

Yes, pure power! No denying that among the greats, there have been some truly impressive physical specimens over the years, but to me, there has always been
something about MAN O'WAR that catches the eye - and the imagination...

Thanks again for posting that video.

He was indeed impressive. Did you catch the part with the ladies in the field- they are trying to get closer to him, but are looking down- so they don't step in any poop(although Man O' War poop is not so bad)? Great to see living, breathing shots- thanks.

Excellent post. Carly Kaiser does some of the best video biographies on race horses. You can check out a lot of her stuff on youtube.

I love his head. I wouldn't describe it as roman nosed, but it is a very powerful head, absent of any dish. I love his expression too. He always looks like he is ready to kick someone's arse. Just a formidable animal.

I'll add to your great link with this old newsreel of Big Red celebrating his 29th birthday. He looks pretty amazing for an old man.

And Carly picks one of my favorite movie soundtracks to accompany this video....bravo!
