I was SO excited when I heard he was shipping to Kentucky.

Not sure that Bo-Rail fits his style though ... He's a deep closer who normally comes from the outside.

But I wish him the best of luck. He's quite the looker and a very sweet horse. Very attentive and inquisitive too. I love those types of ponies.

I was SO excited when I heard he was shipping to Kentucky for Derby Day.

He is an interesting horse, but this isn't Derby Day. It is the beginning of derby week though. This race is in 3 days from now.

I will go with Paynter.

No worries. He may not have made it to The Derby ... But he's got a ton of talent.

Once they figure him out and get him to being more consistent, he's gonna be a force.

He'll make some stakes waves this year ... no doubt.

BTW ... I saw Paynter schooling the other day at Santa Anita and he was crowing up a storm ... nonstop! I love that! Very talkative horses are very, very cool to me. I love a horse with a strong personality.

And he's quite the looker too!

Word from Mike Pender is that Ultimate Eagle is such a Ho Dog that they can't even walk any of the female ponies past his stall without his going nuts!

So they don't ... No fillies/mares in Pender's barn are taken past his stall.

This is one kid who can't wait to go to stud!!

Highly doubt they would ever consider gelding him..but from the sounds of that and how he runs, I wonder if anyone else thinks they should? It's not like he has some royal pedigree.

Paynter, who finished fourth in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby in just his second start, and the undefeated Bourbon Courage headline a field of 11 entered for the Grade 3, $200,000 Derby Trial at Churchill Downs on Saturday.

I'll take Nonios to upset Bourbon Courage and Paynter. I think Nonios is really going to like the dirt. He should get a good pace and make a nice rally under Gomez. Hopefully it'll be enough to get to Bourbon Courage.
