He did sire I believe three English Derby winners. Considering most of his good foals went off to Europe it may not mean much that he didn't sire a Kentucky Derby winner.Originally Posted by Allspice

I was simply answering the question. When it comes down to it, it really doesn't mean much that any of these didn't sire a Kentucky Derby winner. They were all great sires anyway.
Forgot about Pegasus! The above poster is right, it doesn't mean much that they never had a Derby winner, but it is a glaring hole!

I don't see it that way. There is so much that a single stallion and his descendants can do, that the subject of this thread is meaningless in the end.
Lexington is an obvious one. He was the broodmare sire of several, though.

AP Indy, but he does have one as a broodmare sire.
