The ROchester Examiner jumps in. More sunshine on the industry,
This is called churn ... This same story was published a few days ago by another paper ...

Instead of being so bitter MG ... Maybe next time try not being so damn focused on only one circuit when you make your Derby bet ... Tossing every SoCal horse was YOUR mistake, not O'Neill's ... Yet you seem to keep blaming him for it.

News flash! Had his horse not won, Bode was gonna win then. You'd have still been burned by your idiotic decision to toss every West Coast horse ...

Stop whining about it and deal with it ... Man up buddy.

And next year ... Don't make the same mistake and maybe balance your bet out a little. Common sense would tell you that every horse in the Super is NOT very likely to be from just ONE circuit.

Three consecutive postings of the exact same story ... Does that count as 3 different stories or is it just a rehashed version of the same story?

And honestly MG ... You're bitterness at your losing bets is just making you look bad ...

It's gambling buddy! Some days you look good and some days you look bad. Saturday was not your day .,.. roll with it!

Your continued crying over it and obvious vindictive agenda over your poor capping doesn't reflect well on your ability to do so.

Just makes you look like a whiny baby. You're supposed to be Mr. Big Man Behind A Keyboard, with your insults and fantastic PMs ... This isn't doing well to support the false image you try to project with your keyboard courage.

Get over it ... Move on ... Your perpetuating it is just making you look even worse than you normally do.

I'm sure he knows that ... He just thinks that if he posts the same story over and over and over, that people will be stupid enough to think they're all different.

But we've "outed" him on that now haven't we ...

No offense, but you sound incredibly petty and come off like a whiny jackass for writing stuff like this.

MonmouthGuy hasn't really said a word about his Derby wagers, and yet you keep harping on it like you have a personal interest in regard what horses he chooses to wager on and which ones he doesn't.

He's the one who seems like the bigger man here, and you're the one coming off like a dick. Let it go already. We're all sick of hearing it.

    Grow up.
Well there's lots of smart ideas in books I've never read, when the girls come talk to me I wish to hell I had

Obviously you've never been the recipient of his unwarranted, vile and disgusting, behind the scenes OMs as have amny who have frequented the board here have.

PMs sent just because you have a differing point of view or support a different horse ...

Trust me, no one knows more than Monmouth Pig, how vile and disguting he is and his PMs are ... If you'd like to see some of the unsolicited ones I've received from him, just let me know ... I've got 'em and I'd be happy to PM them to you ...

I treat him exceedingly well compared to what his interaction with me has warranted and I put him in his place not for me, but for many others here past and present.

I've said my piece for now though ... If he behaves I will. But if he doesn't ...

Same here...no offense Tinny, but come on...we aren't talking about O'Neill being this awesome guy in his non-horse life. That is NOT the matter at hand. He probably is an awesome guy, I don't know him so I can't form an opinion...but the fact remains, he got caught with his hands in the "cookie jar", like so many other trainers. Shame on him. It has nothing to do with wagers, east coast vs west coast, and all the other personal cr*ap you have between MG, Stuff, or whoever. He broke a rule....PERIOD!

I have always heard he is a very friendly and personable guy. I don't think that was ever in dispute. My issue is with the cheating and dead horses.

I do not receive harassing PM's from any poster, Tinny. But if I did, I'd block the person. Why don't you just rise above and ignore him? He baits you because it is like fishing in an overstocked pond....

Well said. The reason this thread was started was to point out the negative Dutrow-like PR that an O' Neill Derby win would inevitably generate for horse racing. It is another black eye for the sport, and a week from the Preakness, expect the articles to continue coming out. A Bodemeister win would have been much better for the sport. Don't know how anyone can disagree with that statement. I will keep posting the articles as they come out. The fact that it is "churn" is irrelevant, it means that local papers are picking up stories by wire services or national publications like the NYT. This is what people are reading the 2 weeks between the Derby and Preakness from Maine to Hawaii. As a follow up to the devestating Sunday NYTimes article on Los Alimitos in March, this is another blow for the sport.

At the end of the day we have a Kentucky Derby winning trainer who is a cheating non-horseman with a trail of dead horses lining his past, who will likely face a 180 day suspension this year. The sooner the sport is rid of him and DUtrow the better.

If Dutrow moved to Cali and let Tiny take pictures of his horses and feed them peppermints, this loser fanboy would defend him too.

Actually, a Bodemeister win would not have been better for the sport.

All this stuff has to come out, MG. It's part of the process -- shine a flashlight on the dark stuff. Guess nobody here read Jung.

Have to fix what is broken. Can't do that in the dark. Can't do that in denial. Can't do that in a fit of paranoia.

I dunno, maybe I am too forward-looking. I see better futures, all the time, in many aspects of life. Desire and intent to improve has to be there, then you pull all the stuff out of the closet and sort it out.

Otherwise, scenario no different than hoarders who keep sneeking stuff into the house, alcoholics who hide bottles behind the couch and under the furniture. Believe me, their luckiest day is the day it all comes out in the open.

That's all racing is going thru, people. Love it, don't leave it, stick around, the best is yet to come.

Don't flip out on us here, MG. I see where you are coming from, I do. I just don't agree where you're GOING with it.

I have no interest in seeing the private correspondence between two forum members. I believe that's why they're called PRIVATE messages to begin with.

You bringing the fight onto the forum only creates more issues. Again, just grow up and get over it. If you don't like him, ignore him.
