    I think he was about 7th. He made a very mild middle move into about 4th but right when he looked like he might contend, he flattened out.Nice race by the winner, Gonna Fly Now.

    Here's a pic of Deputy Striker in the paddock before his debut ace yesterday ... He's a damn good looking kid!

    Maybe it's just the angle ... 'Cause he looks pretty big and solid in real life.

    I wouldn't worry too much about his 1st race, Brian had told me the week before that DS isn't very focused at this point, so he really wasn't expecting much in his first race. Maybe with another couple of races under his belt, we'll get a better gauge on how much talent he does or doesn't have.

    Your curiosity appears to be supported by the picture you took. It's hard to believe that the camera angle alone could make him look that thin.
