For those who are Curlin fans ...

Per Brian Koriner, his FULL brother ... Deputy Striker ... Makes his debut on Memorial Day at Hollywood Park ...

Just thought you guys might want a head's up.

He's a good looking kid. He was schooling in the paddock today at HP.

Loved Curlin! Thanks for the info, Tinny. I'll be sure to tune in. Hopefully he likes the fake stuff better than his big brother.

Yeah damn it! I didn't know who he was until he was gone. I asked Brian a couple of races later.

Just knew he was a good looking horse. Very attentive and was munching down on the paddock grass big time!

Thanks for the face pic RSA!

I remain a huge Curlin fan. What a horse. That being said, later siblings rarely live up to the accomplishments of the elder. Think Barbaro brothers. 'Twould be nice, but I'm not holding my breath.

Was wondering when he'd make his debut, seems like he's worked about a thousand times now. Has real nice works will be interesting to see what kind of horse he is.

In his head he's Curlin (those eyes remind me of the eyes that launched a thousand "is he ugly?" battles), but through his body he is alllll daddy. There are some more pictures of him on his FB/in his thread in the Breeding section.

Good looking boy. Would love to see him do well, but my fingers are just crossed he gets home safe.
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!

He's beautiful. He doesn;t look like Curlin, but i hope he runs like him. I wish him good luck and hope he has a great career like his brother.

Inside skinny here ... Brian(Koriner) says that thus far, he's kind of a nutjob. Has difficulty focusing.

So I wouldn't be expecting him to kick butt the first time out. It'll likely take him a few races, to hopefully be focused on his job.

But yeah ... Wish I'd have taken a picture because he IS certainly a very ... dare I say it? ... "Striking" horse ...

So ... Let's look forward to and enjoy his debut race ... But not expect too much first out.

This is interesting, don't know how Curlin was as a youngster but during his championship seasons he was always described at focused and professional. Hope little brother connects the dots and shows some talent, that' be awesome.

I'd say, for now, do as I plan on doing when Eblouissante hits the track ...

Just enjoy watching him run, hope for a safe trip ... and if he does something really great right out of the gate ... then rejoice!

But if he doesn't and if it takes him a while or if it never happens, just enjoy him and stick with him too.

It's really hard to live up to being another Curlin or Zenny ...
