Thread: Curlin foals

    Curlin foals

    Not to be a fangirl...

But now that they're starting to (soon, hopefully) head toward the track, and there are three years of them to post updates about, I'd love for him to have his own thread to go with Hard Spun! Not sure how he'll be as a sire, but it'll be fun to see what his kids can do.

    Any news/updates?
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch?
Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

Does anyone know why Thats Our Princess was scratched out of the Victoria?

I was really looking forward to seeing how she did on the synthetic.

Nope, it just said 'Stewards'. Maybe her owner/trainer changed their mind about starting her in a stakes race. At least that's what I hope.

I wish VS notified us on foreign races. She's in my VS and I had no idea she had even been working out, let alone entered in a race. I didn't know she was exported either. Thanks. If you know of any other Curlin foals that have been exported, I'd be glad to hear of them.

We'll have to wait I guess. Belmont racing has been cancelled today due to a heat advisory.

If I happen to stumble across any, I'll definitely post back.

I'm glad Belmont cancelled today, it really sucks out there just walking around, much less running at full speed. x.x Palace Malice will just have to wait a little longer.

    Re: Curlin foals

West Point has a Curlin - Watrugonnadorosie. Bill Mott is training her, according to the West Point website, and she's been working at Saratoga since mid-May. Hopefully she'll debut there when their meet starts! She was a $700,000 yearling at Keeneland September and she's pretty as all get out.

Here's her West Point page: http://www.westpointtb.com/racing/ro...rugonnadorosie

I'm VERY excited for her - I'm excited for all the Curlins, actually!

Very pretty. Her blaze is quite similar to Curlin's, without the thickness.

I also cannot wait until Taco (and Union Jackson) start to train. =D Until then, Whatrugonnadorosie, despite her tongue twister nightmarish name, is gonna have to hold me over. I loved Tears I Cry and just now noticed that her dam is a half sister to Street Cry. Hopefully Rosie does well.

Wow, both Curlin and Big Brown's first winners are in Russia. That's fantastic that they're both seeing early success abroad. Makes me very excited to see his first winner in the states.

Does anyone know what surface those races were on?

Zimniy Dvorets won on dirt I believe. I'm not certain, but I think almost all of the racing in Moscow takes place on dirt.
