What was it like being at Belmont when Tiznow won the 2001 Breeders Cup Classic? What emotions was he feeling as he called the race?
Do you have a "most memorable" race that you called? Do you have a "favorite" call of yours?
I know as a fan I have trouble staying coherent in my own living room during really big or nerve-racking races, I can't imagine what it's like up in the box having to call the Classic or a Belmont with the TC on the line. Do you ever have trouble getting 'too' into particularly exciting races?
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch?
Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!
What is the name of your favorite horse in a race to call that you had the most fun with?
What's your favorite track to announce at and why.
Did you ask anyone ahead of time what you should say if Julie Krone were to win the 1993 Belmont?
Wow great questions keep them coming as Tom is a super guest(:
You called many of Rachel Alexandra's races.. Which one do you think was your best one?
PULPIT 1994-2012
Just say thank you for me......he has given me dozens of great calls to remember.
Everyone come home sound
Do you miss "Doremefasolatido" ?
My favorite call(s), hands down.
Women are like tea bags, you never know how strong they'll be until they're in hot water. -- Eleanor Roosevelt
Mr. Durkin, just a heartfelt thank you for all of the excitement and joy that you have provided us with for these many years. I just have to say that for me, personally, the 2001 Derby with Jorge Chavez aboard Monarchos rates as one of the greatest calls in the history of the sport. Anyone listening to that without becoming very emotional - well, lets just say they are seated in the wrong pew! What was your favorite Derby call?

How do I listen to or read Tom's interview?
You can hear the show live at fridays at 9pm E.S.T. at Ontiltradio.com
I will also post a link before Friday.
By my count there are more than a dozen threads -- some of them largely overlapping -- about one radio program.
I honestly think you would do yourself a favor to have one thread for your program, adding to it as it develops, and better focus attention (from those who wish) on it.
As it is, the numerous threads, many of them related, seem to be diluting your purpose. One thread makes it easier for those who want to follow developments; and easier as well for those who may not wish to be inundated with radio show ups and downs.
As a race caller how do you handle mishaps during a race including breakdowns without taking away from the other horses in the race? How do you handle them emotionally for yourself? Which was the worst one that you were calling?
