    Johnny

No not a TB but my retired QH saddle horse.

The farm sends me pictures every few months. It's a rough life

Gosh, what a lovely color he is! Does he prefer to be alone, or is the pasture mate not in the pic? At any rate, he seems very, very happy.

Last I heard, he lives in what they call the "geezer pasture" with three other horses. He's 21 and he's by far the youngest. I have no idea where the others are but that pasture is pretty sizable.

He's a liver chestnut and a son of Barpasser. The husband and wife who run the farm are in the TB business now but they have an AQHA show background and they were pretty tickled to have him. He was quite the horse in his day but unfortunately he foundered two years ago and we just couldn't keep him sound and happy in a stall so this was only option. There was a real question in the beginning if he could even be pasture sound and if so he had no options. So when I get pictures like these from the farm, it keeps me smiling all day.
