The world's come to an end! A friend sent me the PP's for Del Mar out of the blue! I've been doing ok for someone picking by horse name, trainer, owner and memory. Now I have to see if I can remember how to read PP's.

FROM CRIMINAL TYPE:

The Crime Scene was hot at Del Mar today but mostly for the Fillies

At the halfway mark it was nothing
but filly power leading the way when TY88, El-Prado, GotaDunQH took
command of the race

At the top of the stretch Criminal Type
loaded his top gun and caught up with
the Filly power looming in front of him

Dusty made a mild attempt at catching up

Ruffian saw her Wishing Gate open wide
which moved her up right in behind Dusty

Real Quiet, KD and Tiger-Dancer
showed little and failed to fire at all

At the wire it was all El Prado whose
PP's must have helped because she
won easily

GotaDunQH by a nostril hair (10 cents)
just over Criminal Type who showed
his Top Dog ability after a few weeks
of Junkyard Dog efforts

Dusty came up smelling like a Brooklyn-Rose keeping her holding
onto 4th

Ruffian's Wishing Gate moved her
up to 5th

TY88 after a strong first half
faded like yesterday's news to
finish 6th

Real Quiet had a better 2nd half
but not enough to catch up

KD who has been firing on all cylinders lately, failed to 'Apply' that
power
after leaving the gate strongly
But that was all he had in the tank

Tiger Dancer apparently was way more interested in the Del Mar seagulls
than
in running a race
