eff yeah Currency Swap! He and Trinni actually have a decent rivalry brewing. And at least this division still has some nice horses standing, should be a fun race.

Willy Beamin, who is entered here, wired the field today in the Albany. This is a R. Dutrow horse, so he'll probably go in the KB.

I'm hoping for a big showing by Trinniberg.

I'd love to see Willy Beamin run, he looked great in the Albany and is in great form. Is he capable of rating behind Trinniberg is the question for me.

    From Brisnet

James Riccio's Willy Beamin (Suave) ran away with Wednesday's $150,000 Albany Stakes at Saratoga, leading all the way home to secure the 6 1/4-length victory under jockey Alan Garcia. He ran 1 1/8 miles on the fast Saratoga dirt in 1:50 1/5. The bay sophomore, who could wheel back into Saturday's Grade 1 King's Bishop going seven furlongs at the Spa, was claimed by Riccio out of a $25,000 claimer in March and given to trainer Richard Dutrow. Willy Beamin has been unbeaten since his 5 3/4-length score in that claimer, taking an allowance by 6 1/2 lengths, an optional claimer by 2 1/4 lengths and posting a four-length win in the Mike Lee Stakes in his last start. With the Albany now added to the mix, the three-year-old gelding improved his career record to 10-6-0-0, $309,545.

There will finally be significant pace in a race involving Trinniberg and Currency Swap which could result in a chaotic stretch run. Ever So Lucky is also finally in an appropriate spot with some racing under his belt. Fort Loudon will benefit from his new rider and a more favorable pace scenerio as well.

Significantly more interesting race than the Travers.

Wonder how Willy will do after running and winning yesterday.

I, too, like Trinniberg. Why wouldn't I? But Currency Swap and Dr. Chit intrigue me - both coming in 1st and 2nd in the Amsterdam Stakes..

    Re: King's Bishop Stakes (G1)

At first I thought pace meltdown with so many speedsters, but then I thought well Currency Swap just went 21 2-5, 44 and won going away, how much faster could he be pushed?

Currency Swap-very sharp right now and loves the track.
Trinniberg--he's been a win machine at 6-7 furlongs, will be hard to deny.
Unbridled's Note--improving and should be running at the end.
Fort Loudon--beat Trinniberg for 3rd straight but a dull 5th in Amsterdam.
Doctor Chit--he's fast no doubt but pace scenario should hurt his chances.
    Gun Boat--toss last, could surprise.
Ever So Lucky--cutback should suit him, but enough I'm not sure.
Laurie's Rocket--very close to a couple fo these last time.

I see it as a battle between the two favs, Currency Swap and Trinniberg.
I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.
