I'll have to investigate the CandyLand baby. I think when I was down there this winter, their mares with foals had left for Kentucky, so maybe they are back by now.
Thanks for the picture of the La Gueriere filly. I have a broodmare that's a 3/4 sister to Catumbella, the dam of Honor In War. My mare and Catumbella are both out of Benguela who is a have sister to La Gueriere.

The two Smarty babies bought by Shadwell have been named!!
Saayebah - Filly out of Shoppingwithbetty (Danzig); his very first foal to hit the ground.
Nafath - Colt out of Wheatly Way (Wheatly Hall); half-brother to Bevo and Moonlight Sonata.
I'm wondering if anyone would happen to know the meanings of these names (if they have meanings)??Â* I tried searching and not much came up for Nafath and nothing at all for Saayebah.Â* I do like them, though.Â* Especially Saayebah.Â* A pretty name for a very pretty filly.
The names sound beautiful and very poetic.
I'm thinking Saayebah is pronounced sigh-ay-bah, or maybe sigh-ee-bah. Love it.

Thanks SO much for those pictures, tachyon!! :smiley: I think that one was only about 3 months old at the time of the sale and sold for a very nice price. I'll definitely be doing my best to follow all the Smarty babies in Japan!!
And Gin, it would be great to see those pics of yours when you get a chance!! :smiley:
