Her last effort was a Nail-Biter in which she had the lead only to lose it at the wire

She is the 2nd favorite today @ 3/1

An Older STALLION who has shown signs of slowing down this year after a Spectacular season in 2009

He does show sparks of his former style now and then and has broken the Track Record this year!

He is always a Question~Mark having had a major gate injury a few months ago and has not fully recovered

She is A Repeat WINNER today who can either go for the early lead and hold on, OR
hang way back and close with a mighty surge similar to the Great Zenyatta!

A Super Classy FILLY who usually shows up on the tote board and rarely has a poor performance

She Leaves At 9/2

This STALLION has his share of problems in some races and his connections have been making changes with Blinkers and Shoes

He seems to do better at longer distances and we look for a better effort from him today after a lack-luster performance last time out

He goes off @ 7/1

A Super FILLY who is very Classy and who usually is in the money

She rarely runs a bad race and always shows grit and determination

She looked spectacular in her last race

there behind her, just a half length back

make up the 2nd Tier

RUFFIAN + CRIMINAL~TYPE trail the field in the early going

Heading into the 1st Turn

RUFFIAN has made a Huge Move on the inside rail to come within a half-length of REAL~QUIET who is holding onto 2nd just a head behind INTO~THE~MYSTIC who is steady and strong in the Lead!

ELITE~MERCEDES has found another Gear and is now just a half length behind the front runners

DUSTY is trying to stay with them as
KD is dropping back

CRIMINAL~TYPE still Trails

But its a LONG Race folks and ANYTHING can happen!
Approaching the 2nd Turn at the HalfWay Point

It's ALL REAL-QUIET now and his to win IF he can hold off the Flying RUFFIAN Who is closing the gap with every stride

INTO-THE-MYSTIC is not thru yet!

DUSTY is all out and gaining quickly

KD is backing up badly
CRIMINAL TYPE has nothing left

REAL~QUIET has found yet another Gear and they will need WINGS to catch him now

is staying right with him

With DUSTY right at her throat!

He Wins going away

RUFFIAN Still staying Strong holds onto 2nd for the 2nd race in a row, missing out at the wire

INTO~THE~MYSTIC JUST nips DUSTY for the Show Spot
by a flaring nostril!

ELITE~MERCEDES holds on for 5th

KD who only found his Energy and Surge in the 2nd half of this long race, faded badly at the end

CRIMINAL~TYPE eased up after the wire

Real Quiet maybe should use nickname of LUCKY after yesterday's races!
I now see the importance of choosing wisely on alternates!

as for my luck?

I need to get some liquid plumber b/c my picks went down the toilet

although I did have a late burst of energy in the last half mile it was not enough to drag my tired *** past anyone to the wire

gonna check with ITM to get me some of those Jugs of hers she talks about
(every pun intended!)

POST RACE ANALYSIS

CAT SCRATCH FEVER!
Results greatly influenced by SCRATCHES!

REAL QUIET
They say that Racing is a lot of Luck!
And Real Quiet saw that happen big time!

R1 > First 2 Pix Scratch, 2nd alt Wins
R4 > Pick Scratched + Alt WINS > $29
R12 Pick Scratched + Alt WINS > $24.60

This amazing Stallion had
5 Firsts, 3 Seconds out of 12 Races!
Nearly a Gate to Wire Win as well!


RUFFIAN
This Feisty Filly was clever enough to EDIT her pix and CHOOSE the R4 Winner for $29!

Another Longshot in R10 @ $27.80 helped her to stay strong and just get shut out at the wire
(again) after a slow start out of the gate


INTO THE MYSTIC
This very talented Filly started out the day with an incredible burst of energy only to see it fizzle out after the first half

She still managed somehow to hold on for 2nd
but only by a thin nostril hair over Dusty

DUSTY
Very slow start out of the gate for this Fab-Filly but then just like the great Zenyatta, made a super-sonic run in the final furlong to JUST miss out on the Show Spot!

Her R9 Stunner of $22.60 for a 2nd place horse was almost enough to give her 3rd, missing by 90-CENTS


ELITE MERCEDES
This Filly seemed a big sluggish today and not her usual firey self at all

She was never really in the running but had a big surge in R6 with a $20.60 winner and stayed fairly strong in the final furlongs

KD
This Determined Stallion was very Slow leaving the gate but found his best running after the first mile finishing strongly in the the final furlongs

Just too little too late to hit the board
We expect to see a better effort next out

CRIMINAL TYPE
This older Stallion Reared up in the gate, tossing his jockey and may have banged his head because he was very sluggish in the first mile of the race

He found his Energy in the last quarter-mile and seemed like his old self that we have seen in past years
But just like KD, it was Too~Little~Too~Late
