    Keeneland this morning

It is sooo beautiful at Keeneland right now with all the trees and bushes blooming, the grass turning green, and there are dandelions everywhere.

In the next one that is Forever Together on the bottom <training track>, sure wish I had realized that so I'd have stuck around to get more pics of her as she came around.

I can't remember what kind of bird this is, but it's sure pretty. It was standing near the entrance to the Wavertree consignment, it was really busy, and I am surprised it stuck around for as long as it did with all the horses and people coming and going...

LOL, that's a European starling. They're considered a pest, and a threat to native species of birds.

    Great photos, though!

It certainly is, always thought that they are such pretty birds. Looks like someone is nest building! Thanks for those!

What a difference a few days make. Blossoms are more blossomed on the 5th as opposed to the 2nd and 3rd when they were just starting to open.

Thanks for the photos. Keeneland is a beautiful place, and every one of their employees is so helpful and courteous. A welcome change from Saratoga even though I love the place so much.

Thanks for the kind comments, and identifying the bird! Very beautiful bird, glad it stayed there long enough to get the shots. I've got a thing for birds lately, they are sooo pretty. I absolutely LOVE cardinals and blu jays.

Ballerina - I totally agree! The trees in the paddock are completely blossomed, and they smell really good! I found myself stopping just to smell them all day long.
The yellow bushes along the rail <too tired to remember what they are called> have already started turning green and have lost their bright yellow color.
Here at home we have some plants coming up that are about 6 or 7 inches tall, and a week ago they were just barely noticable coming out of the ground.

    Thanks for sharing.
Maybe I can swing down to Lexington again in October.
