Kenya has a good racing industry.

I believe Libya and Algeria have a strong Arabian industry.

Where there are horses there is horse racing. Wherever the British colonized there is Thoroughbred racing. Most of north Africa is focused on Arabian racing, while Zimbabwe and Kenya have several TB breeding farms and tracks. The ones in Chad appear to be Arabs or Arab crosses.

They used to show racing in UK betting shops from Zimbabwe (run in South African governing) until the recent land re-allocation program and the various issues associated with it.
