what a nice race this is. Goldikova and Stacelita both return and Wiener Walzer is also one I've been waiting to see again. 1850 meters? what's that, just under 1 3/16?

It's around 1-1/8 miles (a tad longer).
I go with Stacelita at this distance.
i'm all for goldikova, it sounds like it won't be too soft for her

Outstanding field.
Group I winners Goldikova, Stacelita, Wiener Walzer and Byword... all bring strong r?sum?s to the race. Easily the best field assembled this year so far in Europe.
Goldikova will get better ground this year but I am not sold on her getting the distance. Wiener Walzer is a quality horse but is probably best going 1-1/2 miles. Byword has a good chance but I like Stacelita best of all. Her only loss was in the Arc and she could be a force this year. Likely the horse most suited to the distance.
Great race.
Wiener Walzer steps down in distance. Dont know if that is a wise decision against Goldikova and Stacelita.
But he should finish well.
I think goldy is a sucker bet in this race.
1. she's off a long layoff
2. this is not her best distance
3. there are some in here that this IS their best distance
i like Stacelita
Goldi is a superstar! She doesn't like the stalls though...

Yes she is!
I hope I'll finally get to see her in the flesh this year, since BC is close to home.
I only saw the results, not the race. Was it an easy win, or did she have to work for it?

She got the lead with over one furlong to go but the second horse stayed with her and she was beginning to tire near the end. But she still won by half a length. My descriptioon wasn't very good, hopefully there will be a replay somewhere. She pitched a fit at the stalls.

Congrats also to Wiener Walzer, who managed to finish 3rd despite the short distance of only 1850m.
Never argue with idiots, first they drag you down to their level, then they beat you with experience.

Maybe it's time we forget all the Z/R.A. nonsense -- and just bow down to Queen Goldi.

Not so much surprised by the win by Goldikova --she is class through and through-- as I am by the stunningly flat effort from Stacelita. She showed very little.
She did it--and over a really nice field and a lttle more ground than she prefers .
Got to love her ..
