...this is a recipe for disaster since whenever I post my picks they fail miserably, but I'll give it a shot.
HOL- race 8- #10- Hawaiian Springs
This horse is making a comeback after what I assume was a minor setback. He was set to hit the TC prep trail after an impressive runner up finish in an allowance 2 starts back. His comeback race last month was mediocre, but he was coming off the shelf, and Walsh's barn is much better 2nd off. He also gets the blinkers back on and he wore the shades for his first 2 races, which were far superior to that last outing. His maiden debut score was at this track, over a sprint distance. This is a step up in class, but he is not too far behind the chalk here in terms of speed. Pace scenario should set up favorably for him, as he is only one of three horses in the field of ten who will probably not be contesting or stalking the pace. He's got Mike "circle the field" Smith aboard and should be rolling late at 15-1 M/L.
