Yes. He ran three times here on the west coast never hitting the board.

Tiz Blessed won pretty nicely at Woodbine today in the Display Stakes. It makes me happy when the maidens I like go onto win stakes; I might not be so hopeless at picking out future winners!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

Oh don't worry. The fact I like him is proof enough he's jinxed for forever and then some. It's the small victories that get us by

    From brisnet.com

WinStar Farm's BRETHREN (Distorted Humor), a half-brother to this year's Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Super Saver who ran his record to two-for-two at Churchill on Saturday, came out of the race fine, according to assistant trainer Horacio De Paz. The colt will now head to South Florida on Tuesday with the rest of the Todd Pletcher horses at Churchill Downs. Brethren had one work here prior to his Saturday's win and his regular morning partner was exercise rider Kevin Willey, who served in the same capacity this spring with Super Saver.

    Nice article on Uncle Mo:

    http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/rac...d-in-2011.aspx

“There have been horses who have run faster in one race than Uncle Mo. Stevie Wonderboy received about a 0 for winning the [2005 Juvenile],” said Len Friedman, a partner with Ragozin Thoroughbred Data. “But in terms of all of his races at two, I’ve never seen a two-year-old with a line of figures as fast as his. It’s unheard of.”

102 second start, 108 going longer, almost never happens with 2-year-olds.

102 was his first start. I thought the 94 (I think) he got in the Champagne was artificially low, but that's an old argument we had a couple months ago.

    102 -- MSW
    94 -- Champagne
    108 -- BCJ
    Suni, Soto, Sham, whichever.

Cathy wins it. Had traffic problem down the stretch but got open in time to win.

Please don't call her Cathy, it is Crunchie to those who love her most
She's the real thing. Fun to see. She was much the best today...again
Seems Hollendorker is loaded as usual.

YES! Just watched the replay. Can't wait to see what she does next year. I hope they're aiming her toward the Kentucky Oaks. I'd love to see her and Awesome Feather in that race.
