She didn't sell at Tatts as a yearling for 1800 euros!

Re: What No Oaks Thread?
I'm a little extra excited because straight after the race I got a call from a client who was like " did you see that, did you see that!"
To make a long story short he went to Tatts last year looking for a cheap syndicate horse. Quite frankly the men of my group including my husband, were looking at a bunch of colts that I just didn't like. So I went off on my own and happened across an Intikhab filly who was smashing looking. She had size, but not overly big, she had scope, she had a gorgeous neck - hate those short or pencil necks, and her only knocks were slightly toed out and a bit narrow in the chest. As there are no perfect horses out there I thought she had more pluses than minuses. Bought her for 1500 euros. All we want here is a race winner.
Now client is over the moon. He keeps saying thanks so much for making me get her and not one of those over priced usless colts. Well I think we need to see her win first before we start supplementing for the Oaks next year! Since she hasn't run yet, the dream is still alive! Can't give too many details Martin as you know how these sydicates work, but PM me if you like. I know her trainer is really excited about this filly and has been for the last 2 months. Of course she probably will turn out to be a star as I am now concentrating on sporthorses and not TB's!

Re: What No Oaks Thread?
Interesting story, Terri. Let us know when she hits the track.
As for the Oaks, I back Remember When, and with her being still a maiden and with limited experience I think she did well. She is just improving. It looks like the first 2 outstay RW but it looks to me she can handle 12f well. I guess time will tell.
Both the winner and runner-up came from Roberto male tail line. Nice!
