About time!
"That's all the world is after all, an endless battle of contrasting memories."
Yes! I have been wondering about him for a while now! Hopefully this means he's healing very well!
Very good news! Been wondering about him.
"And Take Control. . .takes control!"
I hope we all get really sick of that call!

It hurts me that this guy wasn't on the Derby trail because man, I just have vibes about him. But I'm so happy to see him back!
If working :36.80 is an "easy" first breeze for him, I cannot wait to see him in the afternoon.
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch?
Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

I know Baffert said, after it was announced TC would be out for a while, that he was hoping to have him ready for the summer races. I don't think that's going to happen since he's just getting back on the track now. But hopefully he'll be ready to run later this year and then as a 4 year old!?The time off was probably for the best. He was immature. His mother was a late-developing horse too. It was a blessing in disguise, I think. He looks so much better now than last year.?
It stinks he couldn't run in any of the TC races and probably not the big 3 year old races this summer, especially since he looks like a good one, but a positive is that as Baffert said he's probably a late developer and rushing him into those races could have ruined him.
I can't wait to see what he looks like now from the way Baffert was describing him!
i honestly would not expect anything from him until probably even the strub series. if you are going to miss the Travers there is no point in rushing anything else
Next year he will be a serious racehorse! I hope they keep him around for a few years - I don't know what this new owner is like, but as Baffert said, the colt should get better with age.
Sharp first work back. His first race back may be a long way off but you still can't help getting excited about him.
If anybody's at SA and can take some pics of him, I doubt we would complain :cheesy:
Edited to fix typo.

Yes, please!!
Trying to keep this thread from getting way lost because of all the "non sense" threads that most of us can't help ourselves from posting in! :azn:
Take Control (3-Year-Old Colt)
Date: June 24, 2010
Track: SANTA ANITA PARK
Distance: Four Furlongs
Time: 48:80 Handily
Track Condition: Fast
Surface: All Weather Track
Rank: 11/28
I wonder how long it will take him to make it back
Wonder if he'd be ready in time for something like the WV Derby?
Do you think Baffert is going to run him on synthetics first race back or dirt?
Both good questions.
Maybe the DRF will do a write-up on him soon seeing how well he has been working.
Stepping right along, 5F today at Santa Anita in about a minute flat, 3/22. This is looking good!![]()
