Alas, no. He was foaled in 2003, a Danehill colt, out of Imagine (Sadler Wells), and was trained by Aidan O'Brien. He was the second favorite in the 2006 English Derby at Epsom. When his jockey Kieran Fallon didn't like the way the horse felt warming up, the the trainer and vet looked over the horse but couldn't see anything wrong, and so decided to leave him in the race. Horatio Nelson broke down and was subsequently euthanized, about two weeks after Barbaro broke down in the Preakness.

They did name his younger half brother, Viscount Nelson. I'm assuming because Horatio Nelson was the 1st Viscount Nelson. He raced for Coolmore but was sold and is currently racing in Dubai. He is trained by Mike De Kock, he had won the G2 Al Fahidi Fort earlier in the Meydan meet but finished 7th on 3/1 in the G2 Zabeel Mile. http://www.emiratesracing.com/node/7?id=2064907
