My spring break is going to be weird - I'm staying in town for the OBS and Adena Sales, but my "real" spring break will be in April when I get to go to Keeneland for the Ashland and two year old sale.

I have a friend who I just don't completely understand sometimes. So, basically, she's in a relationship with this guy who's in the Air Force, and they're going to get married at the end of the month. It's only incredibly frustrating (and most might consider this crazy) is that she's going to get married on my birthday, and I got upset a little. She said she was only having it on that day, cuz that's the only day she knew boyfriend would be home. I'm still thinking it's rushed and everything, since they haven't been dating more than a year, and I only found out a couple of days ago that she was getting married! I just don't understand! At first she said May or June a couple of days ago, but now it's going to be March since yesterday? You're going to leave after your junior year and transfer to a school in Arizona to finish it out, when you're already almost done? I find it incredibly frustrating, cuz I like to think I am a rational, sane person most of the time, while she doesn't seem to be.
But, this is basically how this person acts all the time, and this was the one time I think I've actually stood up for something. I felt like if she were to have her wedding on my birthday, that I would lose some significance. I have that one day that I feel is technically mine, and now you're going to take some of it away from me. She's always doing crap like this. :huh:

My grandmother, the one I'm living with now, has colon cancer. I don't know a whole lot at this point, but the doctor said there was a ninety percent chance that it's malignant and apparently, there's a family history of deaths from colon cancer. I've never been through anything close to this so if y'all could keep me and my family in your prayers, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Dustin. :smiley: I tried calling a few of my friends earlier in the day, thinking that it would help me assimilate the information, but I broke down the first person I talked to. But I'm doing much better now that I've talked with my grandma about it. She's very optimistic and we're clinging to the 10% chance that it isn't malignant.

I'm so excited! Afrashad races tomorrow!!!! The best part is they have Dettori riding him! I thought he would be on Diabolical, but they put him on my boy instead. They want to see "this Afrashad." :grin:

I'm going home to Delaware. Not exactly that most happenin' Spring Break destination, but my family and my dogs are there.
Family and pets are all that matter! And don't you worry about a "happenin'" spring break destination. I'm going to be at my second home (OBS :grinand then heading back to my family for Easter weekend. So you are not alone!
