Further--my apparent favorite "current" sires are Distorted Humor and Saint Ballado, and the older sire who popped up the most often in my love's pedigrees was Native Dancer.
And an overwhelming majority--eleven horses--were bred in Kentucky.
I need to stop.

I think it's actually Casey, Ben, & Ronnie this week.

I just started with the year I got into horse racing, made a list of my absolute favorites of that year and each year following, and then looked up the info on them--color, markings, pedigree, etc., and added it up.
BTW, of my retired horses, out of 168 total starts they collectively finished in the money 135 times.

I meant to say Ronnie. Frankie went home last week. D'oh! But, yeah, I really don't find any of them except for Perry phsyically attractive. :tongue: Perry reminds me of David Beckham. Except Perry is cuter. *hides behind desk*

Oh, dear. Friday night is our club get together. Wine and cheese and we're hosting Ryan Mahan and John Henderson as our speakers. And I will be MC'ing, hence the nerves. :tongue: Then it seems like all the rest of the major Ocala socialites are invited (how many of them show up is quite another story, but still.) Then Saturday I really, really want to go to Tampa for the Derby and War Pass, but I'm not sure if my mom will let me go alone. :cry: Then Monday will be a fun day because a big group of us will go to the Adena Springs Sale and then out to dinner later. :cheesy:

Anywho, what does your weekend look like? Your spring break is next week, too, right?

There's just too much on TV on Thursday for me - Survivor, Apprentice, and Make Me a Supermodel. I end up like a vegetable at the end of it all!

I've never been to one, but I've heard all about 'em and read all about 'em. How many sales do you get to go to usually? What do you like to do while you're there?

Yep. I finally get a break, which will be filled with a 4-day Florida trip and a 3-day visiting home excursion (with homework, kitty fixing, and a dentist appointment---Yippee! :wink. All I can say while I'll be gone is I love TiVo! (I can't imagine life without it now. )

I go to all of the Ocala sales, there are seven per year here. I just love the action, the atmosphere, the people, the horses the same way people love the racetrack. I love to people watch and take pictures and chat with my spotter, Pete. I'm a nerd, I know, even all my horsie friends make fun of me.

Kitty fixing? Dentist? That doesn't sound like much fun! But I hope that you get to enjoy your family while you're getting your kitten fixed and at the dentist! I know I have to cram all that unglamorous stuff in while I'm at home, too. :tongue:

Fort Walton/Destin/Niceville-ish Florida. It's the same area of Florida that my family's been going to since I can't remember. I'm just glad to get a break! :grin:

Although, I can guarantee you that I will be affected by the sun in some way by the time I get back. I really wish I wasn't so pale!

Eglin AFB? My grandfather is retired Air Force, so I've been visiting the area for a long time. I really like it, too. I've been to that AF Museum more times than I want to remember! .
