Blind Luck (3 yr old) coming East Glad to see they didnt use the rockies excuse.

Wonderful to see Hollendorfer ship his 3 year old filly into Delaware to run in the Oaks. Apparently he found that the Rockies were not too tall, a mountain range to fly over, or maybe he has a pilot who will be able to find a spot around that range where he can stay at low altitudes and keep Blind Luck calm and settled. Thank you Mr. Hollendorfer for not trying to hide your wonderful filly in California, stepping out of the normal comfort zone and testing some good fillies in the East on a Dirt Surface where champions have been crowned for hundreds of years. Kudos to the Connections of Blind Luck. Not so much for the rest of the owners in Cali who have buried and hid their proverbial heads in the synthetic surface.

Does anyone know why Rafael Bejarano was replaced?
In the oldest game in town, Zenyatta's an original. ~ Bill Nack, prior to the 2009 BC Classic

Wow, that is amazing.. crossing the Rockies and all. I hope Blind Luck will be able to return to California in the future.. it seems to be more difficult for mares to make the trip heading westward than it is for them to go East.

Bananas to pears, in this one.
Consider after July 3 there are absolutely no sex and age restricted races above a G3 that would fit Blind Luck left in California, whereas the other horses you're insinuating (I'm assuming Zenyatta and Rail Trip?) have choices on the synth that fit them...
And I assume Blind Luck doesn't spaz or dehydrate while shipping. Believe it or not, that can matter.

You do not seem to be particularly bright, but I think even a person of limited intellect can see that comparing a very good but not great filly like Blind Luck, who just lost if I am correct, to an undefeated mare that is on the verge of becoming arguably the greatest mare in the history of racing is silly. Zenyatta has a date with destiny in the BC Classic at Churchill Downs, while Blink Luck will be running in the filly race on Friday.

Believe it or not the people that own a mare and train a mare that just broke an all-time record and who is the defending Breeders Cup Champion probably think very little of people like you.

I can see it now, Zenyatta will win the BC Classic, her third BC win, and people like you will start saying some other horse would have beaten her if.....

Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra are the only two horses that anyone outside racing even cares to watch. I think bashing either just shows how little class people have.

He gets airsick when he flies.

Well, it's easier to ship East when you know your filly prefers dirt over synthetic.

So a filly who broke her maiden in the East and crossed over the Rockies twice this year by winning the Fantasy and KY Oaks is "surprising" the OP with this move in the Delaware Oaks? Maybe our "Zenyatta-lite" can upset Rachel Alexandra in the Ladies' Classic. Matt C's pair of KY Oaks champs go at it. Rachel is still the favorite to win it.

Give Blind Luck her props though. At least she isn't ducking graded stakes races against her own gender in her own backyard like some other "G1" KY Oaks winner I know... =P

I think I saw an article that said it conflicted with his riding Rail Trip.

    Good. She belongs on dirt.

    Funny stuff AA!!

Obviously different horses handle shipping differently ... Surely you know that. Blind Luck and Zenyatta aren't the same horse. Therefore your statement makes no sense.

That's exactly why JT ... I don't have the link, but he had to make a choice ... so he went with RT. He certainly doesn't want to give that mount back to Valdivia.

You are right, one is clearly a better horse on dirt. A real threat to win the Ladies Classic at Churchill.

That's true ... For some reason I think planes are NOT allowed to transport horses from the East Coast to the West Coast. They only fly ONE direction.

Must be some new government restriction.

A simple minded, useless and unwitty post.

Care to add to your lunacy MG? Am I to take it that you are saying that Zenyatta is NOT a real threat to win The Classic this year?

Kind of like all of yours MG ... I'm learning from the master.

Don't put words in my mouth.

My post was about Blind Luck. There is nothing else to read into it.

They are shipping her because she clearly runs better on dirt. It is the right decision. Period.

    I agree 100% with Matt's post.

OK MG ... You said this in regards to my post about Zenyatta and Blind Luck being 2 totally different horses ...

An obvious insinuation in there. Not normally your style to play coy ... But OK ... Whatever you say MG. Take care.

And yeah ... You're right MG ... Blind Luck sucks on synth ... Clearly better on dirt ... NO doubt ...

    3 Grade 1 wins ... 3 Grade 1 placings ... and another Grade 2 placing ... Yeah ... She clearly hates synth.
