Mid Week 7/7 Results @ Presque Isle

[Real Quiet]

6 Players made it to the gate for what I think was the inaugural run at Presque Isle Downs. I know for me it was my first full card there. As the gate opened Real Quiet rushed to the lead as the other 5 jockeyed for the coveted last spot. As we headed into the Clubhouse Turn there were no changes but the real race was just beginning. Real Quiet spit the bit as El Prado assumed command but Into The Mystic, Criminal Type and Dusty were just a few lengths behind. KD and Ruffian were still running as a tandem at the back of the pack. Going into the far turn El Prado was shortening stride a bit and Dusty was still accelerating. Ruffian finally found her best stride while Into The Mystic and Criminal Mind were on cruise control. Real Quiet was looking to score again next week as KD finally came to life and moved up to his flank. As the wire approached it was all Dusty this week with hits in the last six races. El Prado after a strong start held on for second despite a Silky Sullivan move by Ruffian with Criminal Type and Into The Mystic a few lengths behind. Real Quiet tried to lose it at the wire but KD gets to score next week. Congrats to Dusty on her win and to El Prado and Ruffian for filling the trifecta. CT..........at least you spared the colts the humiliation of an all filly superfecta.

My apologys to Criminal Type and Into The Mystic. I credited Ruffian with a win in the 6th race and it was incorrect so CT moves into the number 3 spot and Into The Mystic completes the superfecta. I must have been watching a replay of Ruffians power move last week on Super Saturday. Maybe its a good thing that KD scores next week unless I messed that up too <grin>.

Serves me right, I guess. Played maybe a half dozen races at PID since it opened.

Doubt it'll be a good thing I score since I get my own total wrong more often that not and this will be my debut at the job. At least there aren't any 13 race cards anywhere on Wednesday.
