I cannot wait for tomorrow now! I got a last minute invite from a prestige client to go into the city to have a formal sit down lunch on Sydney Harbour, representing my company.

Yay!!!! Work finishes for me at 10am tomorrow!

I thought the race stops a nation. Anyway, my heart will go to So You Think. I think many racing fans WANT to see him win, to become the next horse-of-a-lifetime! Maluckyday though, has the feel of a Cup horse. But my $2 will go to Shocking because I'm stubborn.

    Re: Melbourne Cup

It sure does! I am off to a major function in the city, with big screen tvs, a few bookies on site, a 3 course sit down lunch and unlimited drinks!

I was worried what we were going to do at my new workplace, aka NOTHING! Then a person we have been doing a bit of business lately, called, asked my manager to go. She couldn't, and then she requested I come instead of my manager.

    DONE DEAL!

I am out to the TAB early this morning to do a bit of gambling!

Exactly VP - most racing fans want to see SYT win but he's carrying about half the country now and when that happens somethng tends to stop them. But now there is a drama as jockey of Precedence fell in the last race and apparently in some pain according to the tv.

Wonder if the winner will target a race like the Spring Tenno Sho?

i'm thrilled for zipping and dynaformer too. in the end it looked easy for the winner, he looked like he wouldn't have minded a longer race.

He was galloped on. Not serious apparently. I was happy to back the winner, but was disappointed to see SYT beaten. Americain's run in the Geelong Cup was exceptional and he followed that up today. Excellent ride by Mosse. He had SYT in his sights the whole time.
Shocking did some damage to himself as well so that explains his ordinary run.
