Me! I arrive Wednesday evening. Can hardly stand these last few days of work.
I'm going! Leave early tomorrow morning. And I do mean early, I leave Wellsprings at 4:30 to get to the airport for a 6:30 flight and then have a brief layover in Pheonix before my 9:50 flight into Nashville. Meeting my Mom in Nashville and we drive up to Louisville that afternoon. Spending the days leading up to the cup touring a few stallion farms, Old Friends, and going to the KHP.

I won't be at the BC, but if anyone is sticking around for the Keeneland Sale, I'll be there from that Thursday through Sunday.

Already here ... arrived in Lexington last Wednesday, moved over to Louisville Saturday afternoon.
Oh, I wish, I wish.......
Hi I am a longtime reader, and I had to join after reading that morning workouts will be open on Thursday. Is this true? I contacted Churchill Downs a few weeks ago, and they told me that morning works are not open to the public. I almost cried I was so disappointed. Is there any way to get into the morning works?
Thank you!
if it was at belmont i would go
If Slewbopper and Monmouth Guy are getting a suite there I'd happily split the cost of the room and sleep on the couch.![]()

Flying up Fri evening. Going to be at the Derby Museum the minute it opens Sat AM.
Meeee! I'm driving home Thursday night, flying to Cincy Friday morning, then flying back home Sunday morning and driving back to school that afternoon. Should be interesting.
I should probably add that I'm only going to the track on Saturday. Friday would be a little much.

Welcome! Yeah they're going to be open Thursday but only Thursday. They normally don't open workouts to the public unless it's either Derby week or BC week so that's why they may have told that they weren't open to the public. They're supposed to be free and if it's anything like the Del Mar works most likely there will be signs telling you where to go.

My husband and I are going. Will get to Lex. Wed. night. Looking at stallions Thursday and having dinner with friends Thursday night, then staying with friends in Shelbyville for the rest of the weekend. Very excited! It promises to be two days of fantastic racing!
me too. Meeting TX, Ohio, and NY friends - even taking my 85 year old mom on Friday. She and a few other older friends will be at Keeneland on Sat; they have a nice buffet with big screens --- crowds too much for them - but I will be down on the rail in Sec 114!![]()
