I said you can't miss "them" meaning all of the threads. LOL! Now trying to pick out which race you are looking for can take a bit more effort. But at least you only have 14 of them, but if they were done normally, then you have all the other threads that make them blend. :P lol

    Quote of the week. ;-)

"I'm sick of looking at her (hindquarters)," said Richard Hannon Jr., who accompanied Paco Boy here as the assistant trainer for his father.

Now, who could he have been talking about?

I see the race the same way. Paco Boy and Goldikova down to the line. Nobody else in this race can run like those two. I'm really excited, and I'm putting my money on Paco Boy to finally get the win. One final victory before he hangs it up.

Ridiculous is the right word, Spahny.

She is the most impressive runner I saw this year here at Saratoga. It's a tall order to beat Goldikova, but Proviso is a real race horse.

Agree with both of you. Proviso is going to run a big one on Saturday and I see her as the main threat to Goldikova.

    GOLDIKOVA!!!

hope Gio Ponti does really well, to prove to his owners they made the right decision unlike Paddy o Prado

I think we're dreaming, Jeff. There should be a Sara Louise type correction coming.

I think she'll run better than SL. Hopefully.

This is one of the best BC races I've seen in a while. Add the unusually hard turf course, Sid possibly doing a Precious Passion imitation and Goldikova attempting a three-peat, you have the kind of race the event was established for.

Goldikova was AMAZING. What a mare she is! She just flew past them all like they were standing still. Way to make BC History, you go girl!

Paco Boy, now 0-5 vs. Goldikova upon seeing her deplane in Louisville: "Damn, she showed up."

(OK, I stole that line from Baffert--sue me!)

I hit the $2 super! And her lucky charm worked for me in the payout too--she wins, Gio Ponti 2nd, Paco Boy in a photo for 3rd/4th and the super pays 4 digits? Huh? I never would have believed it. I played The Usual QT/Court Vision for 3rd for value, but never thought it would paid close to that. Usually it's the opposite. Love ya, Goldi!

Terrific run by Goldi; she IS the best. Possibly best in the world, definitely best female this year.

LOVED the connection(trainer?) running down the dirt track whooping it up as she ran to victory!

That was the groom but yes, that was a terrific moment.

I am going to say this and NO one is going to agree with me..

if that who sale no sale debacle had not happened, and Sid gets a prep.. he would have given Goldy every bit she wanted. not saying he would have won, but that's a LEGIT turf miler. That whole thing cost them a realistic shot at this race.

Goldy is the only horse to win the BC 3 times.

Sidney Candy's was disadvantaged by the layoff for sure, but his last workout was less than stellar. He was rank in them early, lugged in badly down the stretch while appearing to tire.

He was an easy toss for me.

I totally agree, I thought he was way overbet. The sale/missed prep race doomed his chances, but even with one I think Goldikova beats him easily and he still backs up late against this group, maybe hangs a little tougher but that's about it.
