Wow, 2 hours til we got an 'ESPN sucks' thread. Potentially a new record? But in a few years, when ESPN opts to not renew its BC contract, the same people will whine that they either have to watch the event on their computer, or have to pay to get HRTV or TVG.

i love the hd, but tou can tell their camera people are not horse people, the angles they are given and cutting to hank and company middle of pst parade, ah. so i'm watching the track feed for good and just switching over to watch hdtv live race. i'm going to stick with that format from here on out. plus this track feed music is catchy

Did anyone else find it amusing that at the end of the broadcast, as they are playing the soaring closing music they use for the BC/Triple Crown races, that they mixed in footage of the fight with footage from the other races? As if it were some sort of majestic highlight.

i was working for nyra on the day of the belmont stakes and these 3 guys heckled Goldberg. they were like "hey greenberg you ****ing suck you havent got a winner all day your only on the air cause of kenny mayne" Goldberg:"oh yea? really?(with a pissed off look)" lmao i felt bad for him but hey he hasn't won big in a while
The sad part is, and I'm not a TVG guy by any means, but they absolutely freaking KILLED it on the track feed today. I mean, freaking bravo TVG. Top notch. Perfect blind of get out of my way, tell me something I want need to know, but not too hard core so that the avg fan has no clue what you are talking about. if I were ESPN I would outsource horse racing to HRTV and TVG. At Monmouth they had lafit doing the trophy presentations and Carolyn was on set. In 08 they had Jessica P as an analyst.
Why is TVG doing the track feed for a CDI owned track, when HRTV can't even show the freaking post parades is beyond me however. That was odd. But still.
If possible, seriously, do what I am doing now, and just sticking to Track feed then switch to ESPN for the race in HD, then switch back.

espn... feel free to NOT mention the jock fight again today - i don't want to hear one more word about it on their telecast - oh and i don't ever need to see a REPLAY of a horse breaking down either - i could not believe they had to show the gomez' spill from the previous day - i understand talking about it, but the horse had to be put down and they didn't mention that sad fact - we don't need to see that tragedy again.
