Honest Pursuit (Storm Cat out of Honest Lady, by Seattle Slew) won her race today. Look for her in a stake next out. Anyone know how Overbrook ended up with this filly? I find it odd that Juddmonte would unload a filly from one of their best families.

I had money on her today
I think Juddmonte has a deal with Overbrook regarding breeding to Storm Cat. They have a similar deal regarding Sadlers Wells in Europe. Foal share.

Ah - that was my guess seeing that she is a Storm Cat baby.

A.P. Information, a 3yo filly by A.P. Indy out of Two Item Limit, runs in about 5 minutes at EMD. Not sure if this is her debut or not. Also in the race is 2nd-time-starter Cottingham, a 4yo out of Lac Du Printemps (out of Au Printemps.)

You and I Forever, You's first foal, a three year old colt by A.P. Indy, ran third in a maiden on the Derby undercard. He's definitely one to watch next time out.

They also have Flute's 2-year-old by SC, who's apparently going to be in the Lukas barn soon :undecided:

Also, Honest Lady's son First Defence, by UBS, won the 3rd at Churchill yesterday. A very successful weekend for Mom!

I love that the Honest Lady babies both won within a day of each other.

Zaftig, 3 yr old filly by Gone West out of Zoftig, won the Nassau County at Belmont on the 3rd. (http://racing.bloodhorse.com/article/45039.htm)

She could go in the Acorn next on Belmont Stakes day.

Personal Ensign's last surviving foal, Baronial, was 6th in the 4th at Belmont today.

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Poor Baronial was probably thirty lengths behind the winner, though. Hopefully he doesn't run in a swamp next time out.

That, and I'm sure he'd prefer a little more distance. I doubt he wants to be a sprinter.

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

wasn't Baronial's race originally carded for the turf and then taken off due to the condition?

    Race Summary

REAL ESTATE was rated under a strong hold along the rail for a half, shook loose on the turn, briefly surrendered the lead in midstretch then fought back again under strong handling to edge clear in the late stages. BUILDING NEW ERA settled along the rail, angled out on the turn, took the lead in midstretch but couldn't sustain his bid. VACATION was outrun after breaking slowly, lodged a mild move along the rail on the turn and flattened out. P. R. PAUL pressed the pace from outside for five furlongs and steadily tired thereafter. BORDEAUX BANDIT failed to mount a serious rally.
