She was ultra impressive. And Rafael Bejarano seemed extremely pumped about the victory.

Mom was a sprinter, but being sired by Smart Strike maybe she will want to go a bit further...

Seasoned Warrior got it pretty easily. Derby Eve fourth, Indiz unfortunately a long way last.
    Suni, Soto, Sham, whichever.

12Z he's getting so big, he's going to be as big as Zenyatta before long. He weights 560lbs now!

Geez. Sometimes first foals are smallish, but he is going to be one big dude.

    From the DRF:

Smart and Single to stretch out

Smart and Single, who ran her record to 2 for 2 when easily defeating allowance runners going six furlongs on Saturday, will be sent long when she makes her next start, according to trainer Bob Baffert.

“I want to stretch her out,” Baffert said. “She wants two turns.”

Smart and Single, 3, is a daughter of Smart Strike whom owner Kaleem Shah acquired at auction for $400,000 as a yearling at Saratoga in August 2010.

“She ran like we thought she would,” Baffert said. “Kaleem had a smile so big, I didn’t know he had that many teeth. That was good for him after that uppercut he got from Take Control.”

Haha, I was just thinking the other day when I saw a pic of him that if this is how big her first foal was, I can't imagine what's coming next!

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a picture from Keeneland Sept. '11 of Violence (damn a baby of Sky Beauty), Pletcher's 600k 2yo likely-to-be-favorite at Saratoga on Sunday?

Ok i know i post alot about Baby Z but we get the most info about him. Anyway, I have no good knowledge of horse confirmation but what do you people that do think of him. They just posted a video of him getting his first bath last week and it's about the only time you see him standing still so I'm just curious. http://www.zenyatta.com/z_video/12zs-first-bath
