Dainty, 2yo f by Storm Cat ex Lotta Dancing (so a sister to Fantasticat) made her debut in the juvenile maiden at Dundalk on Saturday. She ran a promising 4th. Second home (beaten a short head) was Queen Of Troy, 2yo f by Storm Cat ex Warrior Queen, making her 2nd start.

Also, Black Eyed Susan, 2yo f by Montjeu ex Santa Catarina, ran very well to come second on her second start at the Curragh yesterday on heavy ground which surely must have inconvenieced her. She seems capable of winning a race or two.

That's good to hear. I don't think I have seen a photo of her; will have to go digging now.

I should have taken one down there. I will bring the camera next time she runs.

Red Herring - three parts sister to high-class Phoenix Tower makes her debut at Woodbine later.
Juddmonte Farms - the choice is obvious.

The 2YO Ready for Change (AP Indy x Ajina) makes his first start Monday at Saratoga. McLaughlin is very high on him.
    [/quote]

He was last of 6, about 50 lengths behind the winner...."no factor."

I really liked Ajina when she was running; it's a darned shame none of her foals can run a lick.

Her first foal, Manchurian (by Deputy Minister) became a useful horse. He won a stakes, but later broke down and was euthanized. I don't think he was ever very sound (is anything from the Deputy Minister line?), as he only raced 9 times by age 6. Her 3-year-old, Ruth E, was extremely ugly the last time I saw her. Jinni, the 2003 full sister to both Ready for Change and Ruth E, was at least stakes placed.

Awesome Maria (who is, sorry, out of a HALF sister to Discreet Cat) won impressively and Couture Cat was a distant 2nd. Manaahil scratched.
