It's tough out there. Calbred numbers are down 50 % in the last 5 years. Some of that is welcome because there were way too many less than wonderful horses being bred to be thrown onto the market just in the hopes that someone else would do good with the horse and you'd collect the breeders awards. There's also been a lot of consolidation into a handful of farms.

I wonder where Bold Chieftain will go.
