It actually will be refreshing next year......

Don't worry, you won't have to. But that's ok. We can be friends again. You can think of another topic to argue about.

Who is the "big two"? We know who the "big one" is.

Right. Blame is actually a small horse, isn't he? Rachel and Quality Road are both bigger than him, right?

So, maybe he is talking about Rachel and Zenyatta...

Well, we'll see about refreshing. Different.

Re: It actually will be refreshing next year......

You are correct. The racing landscape in 2011 will be totally different than 2010.

Let's start with the fact that Zenyatta, Blame, Quality Road, and Lookin' At Lucky have all retired, to avoid facing me next year.

And let's examine who won the last important older horse G1 race of the year, in other words who's got all the momentum going into next year. (Heck, not only was I declared the winner, I almost actually got to the finish line first!)

    Just sayin'.

    Your friend,

Giant Oak (enjoying the Florida sunshine as a G1 winner!)

One thing about the Oak.You never hear someone talk in a negative tone about the Oak.He might be the most loved horse of this era....

    Hi Barnfour -

And many thanks for the kind words. Even though I am something of a loudmouth blowhard (but a lovable one at that!), no one truly has a crystal ball to predict next year's "Big Two".

However, I keep having these dreams almost every night of me and Uncle Mo battling down the stretch at next year's BCC!

    Hey...why not?

    Your friend,

Giant Oak (G1Winner, and dreaming about the 2011 BCC!)

    Hi Oakster-

No need to thank me for the kind words.A horse like yourself can only receive kind words and thoughts. What gets me Oak is a poster here actually thinks I like to find topics to argue about. Can you imagine?I thought I was considered as the Giant Oak of posters here at TBC.....loved and cherished by all.....

Enjoy your time in Florida. We are all looking forward to your return to the races and your quest to win the Classic and get the 2011 Horse Of The Year trophy...

Your good friend and one of your biggest fans,

On such a sad day as today --- Z leaves SoCal, probably forever --- it is heartwarming and uplifting to try and think of more pleasant thoughts, like Giant Oak winning next year's BCC!

This year i followed Quality Road,Rachel and Blame as my main horses.I actually don't know who i'm going to follow next year.I know Giant Oak will be one of them. But i know it will be refreshing for me to be able to follow some "new" names.

Racing needs more fresh faces. Zenyatta and Rachel screwed everything up. They should have been forced to retire earlier. I will be looking for a good 3YO that goes off to Stud by early May....now that is excitement!

Well, Fly Down and Haynesfield are coming back, right?

I don't know about Icebox and Morning Line...I liked Morning Line's win in the PA Derby.

I also am looking forward to Blind Luck returning. Who knows...maybe she'll finally take on the boys.

Jersey Town will probably be back.

Then there is Drosselmeyer and Endorsement who may be back as well.

Is Unrivaled Belle coming back...and Life At Ten?

B4, you should know better! The big two might be gone, but it'll only be another matter of months before we all find something new to love and hate.
