Not to be snarky, but ... when I mentioned that I liked Victory with Honor and Arresting Officer, you said they were nominated. If you knew they were nominated, their names had to be on a nominations list.

    I'm so confused.

You are right. I actually just remember the mentioning of certain horses being nominated but I may or may not have seen a nomination list for the race or just copied from other articles the expected starters in the race. I usually compile info from trainer sites with a nomination list and get a freebie brisnet Past Performance for many nominated who will not run...I was searching the trainers sites again tonight to confirm that maybe I did see it earlier in the month..Sorry to confuse you..I do remember seeing Arresting Officer nominated and even Jaycito who I know is not running...I'm not sure about Victory and Honor....Some will get bumped because of earnings..

    Diver, I'm ashamed of you.

Prayer For Relief worked six furlongs in 1:12.80 this morning. Sign of good things to come? Hope so!

I like him. I was concerned that he took so long to switch leads in his last, so I am interested to see if he continues to progress here.

I know Gourmet Dinner received a 93 Beyer, but it seemed to me the race kind of fell apart due to the fast pace and he just picked up the pieces....I wouldn't wheel a 2 Y.O. back in Key graded races with large fields in less than a month if I had Derby asperations...

It had a lot more to do with the incident on the turn than the race falling apart. Delta is a bullring so you have to start moving with a closer midway down the backstretch and this guy sort of swamped them turning for home.

I don't think he's much horse in the long run but I understand why they'd be willing to take a horse who might not ever be in better form to every dance, especially for 750k.

Premier Pegasus will pass on the race and await next month's Sham Stakes, per the owner-trainer.

However, he was still favored in the Hollywood Prevue and came in a disappointing 5th to Premier Pegasus. Expect a big improvement after a race over poly for the first time...He worked an impressive 5F in 59.60 which was the 4th best of 40 on 12/2...

He's a Vindication out of a Storm Cat Mare. Vindication has sent a few horses along to the Derby.

    He might be a decent 6-1 - 10-1
    Just worked 58.00 1/40

Depends on the trainer. If it's Baffert, that's just another day at the office.
