That's very cool. Back when Lava Man was running I thought about getting a personalized plate for him.

At her HOL retirement ceremony, TVG's Christina O. was interviewing some fans in the stands, and one of them was holding a license plate that said "ZENYATA".

I used to have one that said "MY FLAG", and I used to see a car at Keeneland whose plate said "GO 4 WAND" or something similar.

I was on the off-ramp behind a sports car with "TIZNOW" for the SA Derby a couple of years ago. I took it as a "sign."

If you have a car now, go ahead and get the plate. It is super easy to transfer over. But if getting a new plate when buying a new car - DONT have the dealer order it. Mine was incompetent, and I finally got a personalized plate for my car 8 months after buying it by doing it myself at the DMV.

Wasn't there a Lost in the Fog type of plate awhile ago? I remember a fan kept flashing that on TV. I wonder what other plates are out there?

How very cool! Doesn't it say a heck of alot about a horse that fans still remember him to this day? I bet he wouldn't be surprised though; "Of course they will always remember me! I was something else!"

Probably a novelty plate. There are companies that make them and they look like real state plates.

There are 21 (i believe) states that don't require front and rear plates.

Some of them do not allow a front plate that "looks like" a real state plate,such as the Barbaro fake Pennsylvania plate sold on eBay.

Some will ticket you for putting a real expired plate on the front.
