I have a mare that nicks out as an "A" grade on both horses, she had speed and her dam was a stakes winner.
Torn between the two and I can get the same stud fee on both so the fee is not a concern.
Any suggestions?

Pure Prize is a bargain at $5000. Good, solid sire, moves his mares up, and gets race horses. Much more proven than Suave. JMHO.
Is your mare correct up front?
If so, I'd go with PP most likely, too. But just because it is an A nick, doesn't mean you shouldn't consider other pedigree influences and physical match.

I'm not sure what Suave has done so far to garner much attention against a proven, good race horse sire like Pure Prize, but if you're dead set on him, just know he does tend to throw small.
One of our mares is 16.1 and throws big and her Suave (bred by her previous owner) is a small filly and someone at Darby Dan told her that was par for the course with him. She's also pretty crooked up front but I couldn't say if that was his doing or not.
But Hermes is also correct in stating that Pure Prize doesn't throw a great front-end either. But at least you know they can run thru it.
Nobody said giving Kirstie Alley a colonic would be easy.
I like Suave's breeding, it matches with our mare as an A.P. Indy/Mr. P cross with no inbreeding 5 generations. I've liked his runners so far, a couple of them have been stakes placed in only his first crop.
With Pure Prize on E Nicks they match up as an "A+++" rating and true nicks is "B+" I really don't know if that means anything, for the match-up with our mare I'm concern with Pure Prize as from what Vinery has told me, he is a typical Storm Cat where he throws toe in horses and offset knees, then add our mare not being the most correct mare out there.
With Suave I've been told he makes correct horses for the most part. The size thing could be an issue as our mare is 15.3 and stocky.
I really do appreciate all the input from you guys.
Jas, how do you like your Suave?
I think your decision just got made for you? Suave going to Florida.

It sure does! I think Pure Prize will be a good match with our mare, what I don't understand is Pure Prize with our mare on E Nicks came out as an "A+++" yet his full brother, Good Reward came out as an "A" I have no idead how they figure it out. I just use it to see the mating cross but don't understand the grading at all...
Suave is moving to Florida per Bloodhorse.com
