For a series that is supposed to be Cal-Breds versus Florida-Breds ... I don't notice any Cal-Breds listed in those races as far as I can tell ... Are there any?

Grade 1 winners highlight Sunshine Millions card at Santa Anita

New York City-born trainer James Cassidy figures to be a force on Saturday in Santa Anita's portion of the ninth annual Sunshine Millions competition when he saddles multiple Grade 1 winners THE USUAL Q. T. (Unusual Heat) and EVENING JEWEL (Northern Afleet) in their respective events.

Yeah ... It looks like we're only gonna get to enjoy the regional competition with the Santa Anita based races ... That's a bummer.

Fawkes has busy Sunshine Millions day ahead

Trainer David Fawkes won’t have very long to bask in the glow of accepting his first Eclipse Award after Big Drama was named champion sprinter in 2010 at last week’s ceremonies here in Miami. There is plenty of business to take care of on both coasts on Saturday, with Fawkes starting three horses in the Sunshine Millions, including Duke of Mischief in the main event, the $500,000 Classic, to be decided this year at Gulfstream Park.
