    Greatness back to Florida ...

Hmmm .... happened kind of quickly. He was shown at the open house and poof, he's gone.

Is it true that he's really mean?

I know he doesn't get a lot of respect, but I absolutely love this horse. In fact, I'm a little annoyed with myself for not getting a daughter of his a few months ago.

They tend to be very flashy.
Nobody said giving Kirstie Alley a colonic would be easy.

I wonder what the reasoning behind Greatness going back to Florida so quickly is .

Flashy how? Certainly not chrome-wise .... just neat to look at? A horse who thinks he's special and acts like it? ;-)

I liked him when I saw him too.

He disappeared rather quickly, but better to make that decision now than in a couple of months when it would be too late. Just guessing here, but I wonder if his owners thought he was getting the short end of the stick, what with E Dubai and Smarty moving into the same barn (with Jump Start). Who are you going to push ... the three stallions advertised at $10,000, or Greatness at $2,000. Good looking horse though. Hope he's very successful back home.

I've seen three fillies by him and all had a lot of chrome and were bright chestnuts. They were flashy to me! And certainly more so than he is.

In fact, one had a flaxen mane, which is my weakness. Love a chestnut with a flaxen mane. So pretty.

Ah, so the Northern Dancer in him is coming out in his kids? ;-)

I love chestnuts with flaxen manes and tails too (she says shallowly ). That coloring is the kiss of death at the sales so you can almost always get them cheap-ish.

Mean is an understatement. He is a cunning you-know-what...

This video shows Greatness and Indy King at Adena Springs Florida. The man walking and holding the shank for Greatness keeps snapping it in front of his nose/mouth. Meanwhile, the guy walking and holding the shank for Indy King can't keep him from trying to eat it, pretty much a tug of war.
