    Derby Trail Layups/Injuries

So the only one's I know about are Tapizar and Boys at Tosconova.

As for Gourmet Dinner, he has not worked since finishing second in the Holy Bull Stakes on Feb. 26, and this past weekend, he was taken off the grounds of Gulfstream Park, bound for a farm in Ocala, Fla.

Rogue Romance's bruised foot turned into a fractured left front. Obviously off the Derby Trail and out of the spring/'summer classics, but not deemed to be career-ending.

That is sad news, but glad he is going to be ok. Sorry for your disappointment, too.

DRF describes it as "a small fracture in the inside quarter of his left front foot." McPeek says 60-90 days of stall rest. Then getting him back into racing shape (although he's an athletic horse that Kenny has always described as easy to train). You may be right, although if all goes well, he might show up at KEE or CD in the fall?

I do think he's a turf horse primarily, but lately as other promising 2YOs haven't looked quite so stellar at 3, I'd started thinking he might have a chance in the Derby after all. Oh, well.

Cho's other colt, Riveting Reason, was barely on the Derby Trail (#20 in GS earnings), but is now officially off. Has a hoof injury; will be turned out for the spring.

And so the cascade begins. I was really hoping for no more additions to this thread for at least a month.
