Belmont on a big race day sucks. The traffic on the CI sucks on a regular basis, but I don't know. I love a TC but I'll probably enjoy my day way more knowing I can move a foot in all directions.Originally Posted by brigadier gerard

I doubt the tv people are in agreement. A cricket match would probably get higher ratings than the Belmont. It also costs NYRA and hotels and restaurants millions. So maybe yoou should think about somebody other than yourself. TC efforts help grow the sport.
For once I actually wanted a TC run, as I won't have to worry about traffic/crowds, since I'm going to be working as a photographer. Ah well...this will be anticlimactic, that's for sure.

I would too. I love a TC. But I don't get what's the big deal about being a little happier about not being smushed now that one's off the line.

no bg made a good point. youre (som and slewb) saying a tc winner is ONLY worth it if you can be as comfortable at the track as you are at home? i think i'd give up the cushy chairs and welcome being smushed between strangers just to say i was there when it happened.
