It probably depends on the track/photographer. We won a stakes race once and there was an inquiry. We had to dismount the jocks and lead the horses around until it was official. Once official, rider was legged back up and pictures with the horse were taken. I recall it being very hot day and the wait seemed to take forever. We also had an entry run 1-2 in a near deadheat for a stake and the official result took a long time so the decision was made to have both horses in the win pic. That was rare, but they had the same owner and that was his wish. Like I said, it depends.

Awesome Gem entered in Sunday's Ralph M. Hinds Pomona Handicap at Fairplex! A win won't put him past $3 million, but he'll sure be close!

No. He's been an honest and fun horse to follow, and while his consitency deserves to be celebrated, his 1-for-16 record in G1 races doesn't necessarily send chills down the spine. Granted you did qualify that he'd need to win 2 more G1s. I'm not even positive he'll run in 2 more G1s. His connections seem to not be kididng themselves and are really going out of their way to not throw him in over his head, which he would be in a top G1.
Well there's lots of smart ideas in books I've never read, when the girls come talk to me I wish to hell I had
