Replace HDG with the greatest mule in all of muledom, Bar JF Hot Ticket, and that list is correct.
I know...when I purchased another Dan Patch biography...the Great Dan Patch and the Remarkable Mr. Savage..came with a DVD of him racing. It was incredible.
Dan is one of my favorite horses of all time...

She'll be an interesting filly to watch. Personally, I'm not sold. The boys she beat in the Rooney were not close to what she'd face in the Jug. I'm not wild about the way she holds her head and drifts out some in the turns. Not saying she's sore but it's not efficient. I do hope I'm wrong though and root her on! But the Jug is a LONG way off yet (September) and there is a LOT of racing to be had until then. Takter (her trainer) thinks she's better on the half mile tracks than mile tracks...guess we'll have to wait and see!
I'm just finishing up "Crazy Good". The mare in my avatar actually sports old Dan in her 9th generation!
I don't think we've seen the best of Peelers, and the best might come after a loss...The entries of 2-3 horses might be the only thing that beats her. On the other hand the sport has a Superstar it so badly needs so maybe officials will remind the Drivers to keep it fare...If she gets to 23 or so and is running against the boys, I think she'll have crossover fans from all of horseracing....She does run in at times and that could be a sign of a sore foot, but she demolished that Fan field..
1st again this week in the latest Hambletonian Poll.....
Ah, as an aside, does anybody remember Moni Maker? I love her! I used to remember seeing her races on TV. Has any standardbred broken her money earnings yet?
Varenne did in 2002.
