Middle of the road trainers can compete mostly in trotting.Charlie Norris was not a ton of money but he can train a trotter and had some big wins recently. I think with the right horse he can win the Hambletonian which is the premiere horse race in Harness racing.

For most of his career Ray Schnitker was not most likely considered an elite trainer. I am not sure there is the gap there is in thoroughbred racing between a top trainer. In thoroughbred racing you could pay 50 dollars a day more for a top trainer.

With all the upsets in racing in triple crown races you have to wonder do the "top trainers really make such a huge difference?

For us the trainers percentage of winning or cashing is what we look at.
Our 3 thoroughbred trainers Anthony Dutrow,Brandon Kulp and Tim Hooper all have great win percentages.Obviously Anthony Dutrow is as good a trainer as is out there.

Krispy Apple who has been chasing See You At Peelers won the 2nd race tonight at the Meadowlands under wraps in a N.J. Sire Series race.

Meadowlands racing can be brutal on a horse.
In the Meadowlands Pace they went a 53 half mile.
You can be the best horse but but in the wrong place.
Or forced to set a pace that is not realisitic.
You have to be durable.

Jimmy was 99 percent trotters but since there so much money in pacers he went into the pacers too. So he seems to be succeeding in pacers. I wonder what Jimmy charges these days. I feel I have as good a trotting or pacing trainer as there is.
I hope Peelers does well as I am offering partnerships it would be great for my business.

You need to take your agenda/vendetta elsewhere, as well as your illiterate posts .

You don't like Jimmy and you don't like Peelers--tough darts . She hit the pylons --she didn't take a shortcut-and the other two horses went amiss because they couldn't catch her--get real.

I have nothing against Jimmy Takter.
He is one of the best trainers in the business.
There are rules to racing.
If you go inside the pylons you get disqualified. No if and or buts about it.
Thats the rule. If I had the 2nd place horse how much money did it cost me at Tioga ?
I have no explanation why she was not disqualified.
It was a matter of luck that since TC brought Peelers to my attention I watched the Meadowlands race which was not impressive.
Then on You Tube I watched her 15th win the Tioga race where she goes inside the pylons, not over the pylons.
I have nothing against the horse.She is very very nice.Tioga may have been the drivers fault. But rules are rules.
I will try to watch her next race and hopefully she performs great.
I do know harness horses and any point I bring would be a valid point.

Perhaps its your particular brand of enlightenment, ie, the manner in which you are going about doing so, which is what's getting peoples backs up over here...

If I ran into Jimmy Takter maybe I would have him post or one of my trainers maybe in Peelers race tonight.

I caught Peelers at 2 vulnerable times in her career.
