Although she's probably not in the same class as other fillies we follow, nevertheless 3YO Tigress Eleven was the surprise winner of the Dansk (Danish) Derby on Sunday!

That was an outstanding race, glad for her, but a tough beat for Guy's Reward.

Seeing the thread title all I could think of is Mitchell on Modern Family yelling at his partner Cam, "Arms" as Cam started running.

Igugu definitely "ran like a girl" in winning the G1 (SAF) Durban July:

The bay Galileo (Ire) filly, an Australian-bred, became only the 12th filly in 114 years to win the race and established a new benchmark for a three-year-old filly by carrying 121 pounds (55 kilograms) in the Durban July win. South Africa’s 2010-2011 Horse of the Year extended her winning streak to five for trainer Mike de Kock and has won eight of ten career starts.

She hasn't been voted South Africa's horse of the year yet - but that title is about to be added to her repertoire of achievements come voting day for the award, no doubt
What an awesome filly. I really hope she makes that trip to Dubai now...

Who would like to see filly races--at all levels--eliminated, and make females compete with males (sex allowances continuing)? By eliminating one entire class of restricted racing, such a movement would at least encourage larger field size.

I would have no problem with it at all. I too think it would make better bigger fields. I am tired of 4 horse fields even if all the horses are G1 winners.

Not in favor of this for 2 and 3 year old fillies.
