Looks like he's off to a great start just like I'd hoped and I think it would be fun if at the end of the year he and Street Sense were to end up head to head for the freshman sire title.

Filare l' Oro scratched today. Would not be suprised if it was because of the heat.

Trying to get 2012 foals in order. I know there are several others out there that where on the Booked to mares thread, but I'm kinda lazy right now to look them up.

But I do know that Champagne Ending and Inny River both who had previous foals to him went back to him this year.

You can follow Hard Spun's American runners through Darley's BrisWatch account here: http://horseracing.about.com/gi/o.ht...re_summary.htm

Just scroll down to Hard Spun's name and it will list all his upcoming starters and their results.

What I want to know is whether any of his kids have inherited that crazy mane!

It looked to me like Questing has it. Her mane looked pretty wild to me.

Abhaath (half to Hot Dixie Chick) runs at Lingfield and Fit to Rule (half to Sinister Minister) runs at Hollywood tomorrow.

Also two halves to HS foals run at Delaware in stakes. Of course Grace in the DelCap and Mr. Ryder (half to Red Duke) in the Sussex.

I must have missed somewhere, but why are so many of Hard Spun's runners in Europe?

Many if the foals are Darley homebreds.

The Danzig line is very popular in Europe. From Godolphin's webpage they only have 3 Hard Spun's in training.
