I think it's just the way he's standing. For reference, here's an early conformation pic, from when he was in the States.

Azeri looks great doesn't he? Reminds me of when I saw Forty Niner last summer in Hokkaido. He is 27 this year... 26 in the picture below.

Nice to see the Forty Niner pic. Thanks!
I think it's a slight rump compared to the big shoulder and "spindly" legs. That massive shoulder just over takes the rest of him. I remember watching him run and it seemed like he had to run "up" to get out from under himself.

A few more pics of Arazi from slightly different angles...
The 1st as a young stallion in Japan, the 2nd I think he was in Australia.
**Edit...not sure where the photos went? They were visable when I posted them the other night??

~We have enough youth. How about a fountain of smart??~
I'll Have Another (note this appears to have been taken at O'Neill's Hollywood Park barn)
For reference, here's his pic from OBS April last year when O'Neill bought him for Reddam:

He has such a lovely shoulder. It will be interesting to see him when he puts some weight back on and fills out.
He's going to look even more like his sire when he fills out.
That was my thought as well. (Here's Flower Alley's conformation shot on his website for comparison purposes: http://www.threechimneys.com/flower-...ormation.shtml)
I'll Have Another has maybe a slightly more refined head, but otherwise they look very similar.
Data Link ~ Departing ~ Frontside ~ Jimmy Creed ~ Perfect Shirl ~ Point of Entry ~ Snow Fall ~ Summer Front
Definitely has the Distorted Humor look.

There's no doubt that he's from the Forty Niner line. I've been looking at pictures of Forty Niner's sons and many of them look very similar.
Here's a different one of Gio Ponti...
