Tapit, one of my favorite sires! He looks great!
Haha, ok, he's lovely from the side view. I do see a lot of his babies having some off-setness. Makes sense now since I haven't ever seen him in person. Though most don't have them bad enough to negatively effect them.
I did hear from a heart scan person that he rarely throws a bad heart. Probably his best siring trait![]()

Having an offset knee should not affect a horse's ability to get to the track, but it might affect how long they are able to maintain form before something in their leg bothers them.
Could have been posted already but couldn't find it...

He's a nice looking hunk of horse. He looks like he has some pretty substantial bone and is just pleasing to the eye. Not perfect, but pleasant.
Does he have a bit of a roman nose? His head is tilted just enough that it's hard to tell. I love roman noses!
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch?
Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

I'm pleasantly surprised by his conformation pic. He has some nice balance and bone. I always thought he looked clunky in person while he was racing. He really could end up being quite useful as a sire though.
First Dude is a handsome devil and I do like his bone.
Not sure how he will do as a sire (I hope he makes it); maybe some of our breeding pundits will chime in with their thoughts.
Found some profile shots on Google Images and it sure looks roman, definitely something you don't see every day in TBs. His is funny, though, as his head is indeed quite large - whereas most horses have a nice sloping jawline, his head is actually noticeably rectangular. It would look clunky if he weren't quite so distinguished looking; he pulls it off!
This image shows off his profile well (let me know if it's too big!):

He is nice looking until I see his head. Its huge and lumpy. It reminds me of Storm Flag Flying.I'm not being mean either, just saying.
Apologies if this is redundant: Cape Blanco

Went to vinery.com because I wanted to see what Backtalk looks like now. Well, I still don't know because they only have a photo of him racing -- no conformation shot. Same for their other new ones: D'Funnybone and Giant's Surprise.
Is this common with new stallions?

^^Very common. But I do think Vinery NY slapped up something semi-conformationish of Funnybone on their Facebook page. I may have a yearling conformation pic of Backtalk if that helps.
I'm asking this question in a genuine manner, and not to be a smart-alec. Who is going to want to breed to Giant Surprise?
What is it about single-toed ungulates running around an oval for approximately 90 seconds that inspires people to bet billions of dollars and devote their entire lives to the activity?
