Can anyone confirm Sunday and Monday's Monmouth and Saratoga cards will be cancelled

Sounds like a Hurricane is set to hit Monmouth and Saratoga on Sunday/Monday. I was told by a trainer he is taking his horses and leaving for Churchill on Friday because the weather may actually wipe out days at both tracks.

Fortunately I won't get up there until Wednesday.

I can't confirm anything but would guess that Monmouth is way more of a possibility than Saratoga.

I'm sure it is NYRA's fault.

If this storm stays on track, there might not be any racing at Saratoga or Monmouth the rest of the summer. Both tracks could get destroyed, especially Saratoga with it being so old. If they were smart they would card the Personal Ensign for Saturday and get as many horses out of there as possible. The problem is that Belmont might be under water.

You are an idiot with everything said here.........the best part being that you made this thread at 6:19pm and are suggesting they should make the Personal Ensign Saturday.......when they already drew Saturdays card by 1pm today. You are such a Dufuss...

Monmouth Park is not getting wiped out by this.... once that storm hits the cooler waters it will slow down so we will wind up getting the occasional 60-70MPH wind gust that we get from nor-easters in the winter. Now Sea Bright, that's a different story as it gets the water from the river and the ocean!

Don't be stupid. This is going to be the strongest storm to ever hit the East Coast. No power for a week. You will see.

It is about power. Monmouth could easily not have power for over a week.

It has just been confirmed.....the storm will miss the East Coast, Monmouth, and Saratoga. Thank you for playing, but Quiet Chris is such a mush that even Mother Nature runs from his idiocy.

How's last year's Derby winner Christine Daae doing? Even the Sheik backed away from her ( remember, QC, he was buying her for untold millions ) after your declaration.

HAHAHAHA (not to make light for the people who will get smahed).

Saratoga's so far inland it'll survive. I have to wonder if you've a. been there and b. know how to look at a map.

I agree to disagree about the power and the flooding. The waters are not warm enough to feed the beast.... it will slow down, it will veer slightly east and it will be no worse than most nor'easters. I might even walk over to the beach on Sunday morning but the new bridge is a pain in the rear to walk over.

You are wrong. The pros are comparing this to the 1938 storm that devastated the area. I hope I am wrong because I am going to Saratoga on Wednesday, but I get the feeling power is going to be an issue all over. This is an ENORMOUS storm.

Where are you going to live? Your tack room at Belmont is going to be underwater. You can sleep on my floor if you have to stay a few extra days. My room at the Arms opens right up onto Broadway.

Given how close I am to the owners of " the Arms " I can find out who you are.

I'll just ask them who their stupidest guest is.
