half sister to zenyatta for sale

saw that Zenyatta's weanling half sister is booked in Keeneland's November sale. Wonder if she will hit 8 million or more, especially she is by a unproven stallion. Am surprised Coolmore is selling her.

Wow! Yeah ... Should bring some major bucks!

And can you imagine what the FULL sister to Zenny is gonna bring on the open market, if they put her up for sale?

I would hope no one would spend $8 million on a weanling .. but there are stupid people in the world. Hardly a pinhooking opportunity.

I'm not a conformation expert, but she's a pretty thing. I'll take her home if she RNA's.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Wow, I don't think I realized what a consistent producer Vertigineux is. Three very, very nice animals to her name. Can't wait for what's on the horizon!
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!

She really is, isn't she? A special broodmare for sure.

I can't wait until she foals next year. Zenny will be having hers around the same time her dam is giving birth to a full sibling! Now that'll be interesting

I would be surprised if this filly goes for anything less than $1mil.

That would make them...aunt/uncle and niece/nephew? Does that sort of thing ever happen in the same race? Oh, now my imagination is getting away with me...

I wonder how much Zenyatta's foal with Bernardini and her full sibling are going to go for?

Nothing against the fillies but I hope at least one of them is a male!

And that filly looks very well put together.

You really think they would sell that foal? I mean, it'd reach insane levels, but I bet they'll hold onto it.

Wow, what a looker! You can really see the family resemblance in the head. I just love how smoothly she is put together.

    She'll fetch a nice price, I'm sure.

That foal ain't going nowhere lol. The Moss' are most certainly going to keep him/her.

As for the full sister to Zen, I have a feeling they will keep that foal as well. Coolmore purchased Vertigineux privately and bred her back to Street Cry. Unless they are just looking for mega $$$.

But it's probably why they are selling the Henry filly. Sell the half-sister for some decent cash and keep the full sibling.

Haha, that's better! Yeah, the day the Mosses sell that baby is the day give up on expecting the universe to make sense.

What do full siblings usually go for? By the time it would hit the yearling/two year old sales ring, Zen's full impact will have lessened - if it had been sold this year or last though, could you even imagine?

Oh I doubt it. She's left an impact on horse racing that's going to last a long long time. (I guess maybe some of the fans will forget about the impact she made more down the road, but people in the industry, owners, trainers, will not forget about Zenyatta when a full sibling comes along..especially if magically that sibling was put up for sale)

Don't they have a yearling full sister to this filly? That almost makes sense if they have a promising yearling that is a full sibling, to sell the weanling.

No, the other Henry filly was purchased privately to "an owner with Irish interests." Since Vertigineux was owned by Coolmore when she was bred to Henry it's someone else that has the yearling.

Oh it will certainly still be there, I just think the prices would be even more spectacular in that narrow range during/immediately after a horse's campaign. It's the difference between, you know, 10 million and 20 million - crazy no matter what, but emotions would've run higher closer to the actual event.

Souper Spectacular is a Giant's Causeway out of Vertingineux. He has 3 wins from 7 starts, according to Pedigreequery.
